For the past 15 years Jocko Alston’s dynamic brand of
storytelling has taken him to new heights on the comedy
scene. A two time performer at the prestigious Montreal
“Just for Laughs” comedy festival, Jocko is one of the most
requested acts on XM satellite radio’s “Laugh Attack”. The
2004 release of his DVD and CD “Funny Bald Negro” were
met with rave reviews. He recently released his second CD
“40…No Filter!!!” which has also met with great response.
A regular on the Canadian and U.S comedy club scene,
Jocko has had successful stops in the Dominican Republic
and was a requested artist for a tour of Japan and Korea
for the U.S. Military. His athletic background (football and
baseball) has led him to several appearances on TSN’S “Off
the Record” and XM Satellite Radio’s “Centre Ice” He has
been featured on CBC radio’s “Madly off in all Directions”
, “The Debaters” and “Laugh Out Loud” adding to his
popularity.
Corporately he has performed for such companies as; CCM,
the Children’s Help Line, Canadian National Institute for
the Blind, Future Electronics, Imperial Tobacco, Johnson &
Johnson, Tim Horton’s and Wendy's. He has also performed
for such branches of the Canadian government as; the
department of defense, department of customs and
immigration, department of agriculture and the RCMP. The
Montreal’s Children’s Hospital and the Children’s hospital
of eastern Ontario have used him for several fund raising
performances.
Jocko has appeared in such films as: “The Bone Collector”,
“Deaden” and “Wicker Parker”, and on the small screen
you may have seen him in; “Rumours”, “Prank Patrol” and
“Magic Tom” (when he was 5 years old).
